Dear Netsy I'm happy to hear things are working out for you and your husband. As with your husband i believe that was the plan for me when the mass was removed to have the chemo bath but the doctor said the cancer had invaded some of the tissue so he suggested the chemo and removal of the bladder. I'm hoping so much that when i see the chemo doctor on Sept3rd he tells me we can fix it with just chemo. Or if not the surgeon on Sept 5th says maybe he can just repair it. It's so hard to wait to find out what there going to do. I'm trying to be strong for my family but when i'm alone i just think about it and cry maybe i'm just weak i don't know. Thank you for your response i really appreciate your help. Bobby

Hey hope you are doing well - I finished boost treatments - my 33rd radiation treatment yesterday! Whoop whoop!! You are right about the scar area - it is sore but rest of breast is losing some redness. I am just glad this part is over. Seems like such a journey!! Hope you are doing well also.

Hi Netsy, I have only had two treatments. So far I think my back will be the only problem. I had a hard time with the board-like thing we have to lay on while receiving treatment. Otherwise I look forward to the next 35 treatments to go quickly. Thank you for thinking of me . Glad you are far along with yours it won't be long for you and I wish you well.

    Dear Netsy,

Thank you for responding to my questional re vaginal dryness. Unfortunately, I'm not able to use Replens (know lots about all of this stuff because I'm a trained Medical Librarian). The problem with it is that it contains glycerin. Glycerin is a sugar. Sugar breeds yeast infections which I get lots of being immunocompromised because I'm a Lupus patient (it's not just chemo patients who have this problem), so I need to avoid lubricants with glycerin. I know a fair amount about medical issues because I'm a (retired) trained Medical Librarian. Replens would be a great idea if there were a different lubricating agent, but I truly thank you for the kind thought!...;)

    Hi Netsy,
Just wondering how you are doing, I didn't see an update. I had a message from you and I discovered I had mistakenly made two sites so now just use Pulley. You would remember you wrote to Scouser. Do hope you are taking the treatments well. I had the same experience as you ,someone didn't follow the Dr.s orders and send for a test on the tumor..We know it is Invasive Lobular Carcinoma but there is a test to show them if I need Chemo or just the Radiation. Glad you have started your treatments and are on the way. Keep being positive and pray for Gods help ,if you are a believer..
