Merry Christmas to you Nanc620. Just wanted to let you know that generally, most users don't see updates posted to the wall of your home page. If you intended to reach the full membership of this site, you need to post in the questions sections. If you are directing communications to specific individuals, you need to post on those people's individual walls.

Nanc620, Merry Christmas to you too! Don't worry about the hair, it grows back just fine. Mine is now short and I've had 3 trims. I was looking at last years pics and I had no hair in them. I had stem cell transplant for leukemia about 18 months ago and so far so good. I am praying for you and your family. Stay strong and never give up, treatment make you feel so bad but never give up to it. Rest, keep those journals and talk with God and family. For nausea snack on lemon heads, sour things help with it. May your holidays be wonderful!

    Hi Nanc620.

Checking in. When will you be starting chemo? Do you have a treatment plan and did you decide on Beaumont? I'm going for third treatment next Wednesday. The anxiety and build up is much worse than the chemo. Let me know if i can help answer questions. Stay positive. Hugs to you!

Hi, Nanc620. So sorry about your diagnosis. This is a scary time for you with lots of questions and few answers. As time goes on, though, you will learn so much about this disease and about yourself. You will also learn how cancer fighters stick together and try to help one another. This is a good site to come to if you have questions or need reassurance. I hope you have a good support system and will be receiving the best possible care. I just finished my breast reconstruction--hooray! The past year has been a whirlwind of appointments and ups and downs, but it is in the past and I am looking ahead. One day you will be doing the same!

I just want to welcome you to What's Next. There are so many great people here that can help you. Personally, I thought that the process of getting diagnosed was the worst part of my whole cancer journey. All the scan results, pathology reports, blood work, etc., tend to dribble in, instead of getting all the results at once. But as others here have said, once your treatment plan is up and running things tend to seem a little less intimidating. Best wishes to you.

Sorry to here about your diagnosis, the next few weeks will be heck on earth. But once you get your team and treatment plan in place things will get better. Waiting is the worst the part, not knowing what is happening is no fun. Have someone accompany you to all visits, tests, etc. Speak up, get a 2nd even a third opinion. But most of all take a deep deep breath and find things you like to do to calm down - watch shows and movies that make you laugh - beat up a pillow. Most importantly know that you are not alone.
