Thanks for participating in the conversations and adding your own experiences and point of view. Your input will help many others just to be able to read about it.0January 2018

I saw your comment in things people say that bother you. Yeah, because we had head cancer, we must have dementia-Correct? A small section, about an inch of my lip and flesh above it, well parts of my nose too were removed. So my cheek is doing double duty in the patchwork. This left me with a speech impediment, so of course I have dementia, and I need cognitive assesment and therapy. I won't go to cancer support groups anymore.0March 2016

Sorry to hear of your experience with your mothers care. It's absolutely wrong and even criminal in some cases the lack of care. I've seen this for a long time. Again sorry to read this for you.0June 2015

Yes I think it is normal....and it's what some of us call the "New Normal" for those of us who never used to get mad....even after treatment is over and the cancer is gone...I still get angry at times....sometimes I don't realize why.....but then know it is frustration from not being able to be the whole person I used to be...guess I expected to bounce back to normal....lol Now I am just "new"....hang in there Lauraandmary.....0May 2014

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.
Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.
Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. Just click this link to invite them to join. http://www.whatnext.com/recruit-a-friend
