    Hi Jeanine,

I have IBC too, stage 3B, triple positive. Diagnosed Nov 10. In chemo now, to be followed by mastectomy and radiation. My chemo is TCH.

I was diagnosed with IBC november 2010. Had 16 weeks chemo, double mastectomy, 22 lymph nodes removed from under left arm (18 were cancer), 36 radiation treatments. IBC is so nasty! I wish you did not have to go through any more of this. My prayers and thoughts are with you!

    Hi Jeanine,

I just answered your question about Xeloda and just now realized that you have IBC. I do as well. Feel free to ask me any other questions.

Tough call, if you are not comfortable with the communication you have received, you could get a second "opinion"/clarification. TDM1 has been approved for us her2 gals, research it, ask about it for you. Inspire is a website for advanced breast cancer, a lot of information sharing, virtual hugs. Live, act with entitlement to life.

    Jeanine,
Sometimes you have to be careful regarding the questions asked here. The sight is meant to render support but some here will give advice on matters that they are not formally trained in and clearly outside their scope of practice. No two cancers are the same because these mutations arise from DNA, and we all know that no two people have the exact same DNA. This is your battle to win or lose, it is up to you. If you need help finding another oncologist, I am here. I have patients all over the US and abroad. Your oncologist hit her comfort limit and that happens. I also work in end of life care but I do not believe in suggesting palliative care because I don't believe a nurse should suggest any alternative. Our role is to educate patients, and then support their choices. So on that note, I am here to support you and answer any question you might have. I am confident that you will do what is best for you. As long as you are making the decision free from undue pressure or influence, your decision will always be the correct one. Good luck, Carm RN.
