Dear Fashion- I read about your visit with the oncologist today.
I don't know if you read my profile. My face cancer was similiar to yours in some ways.
Surgery spread it, and that's for sure. Next it liked chemo and radiation. This rare incurable type of cancer is also heat activated, and lots of firemen, welders, and those activily making steel and coal coke for steel got this, besides men that used flame throwers in WW II.
They wanted me to be in an intensive care facility while they removed my eye, nose, and cheek in a year long procedure-and many patients don't have trouble with surgery spreading it as bad as I had. 4 days later-I'd have new cancers up and growing.
I so seriously didn't want to scare small children and look like a halloween monster. They said an eye patch, and the artificial skin wouldn't be that good--Whatever.
I decided that I'd smile til I couldn't. I'd eat with my family til I couldn't.
I had killer radiation, and for some reason I did well I was given the top amount of radiation-quickly. The cancers started going down---Week 4 they decided to fight back and got bigger- had the nerve to start growing again. My radiation defied radiation rules and gave me more. this was a close walk we had together.
For some reason I was meant to live, and I lived.
I treated it like a binary question, which you seem to do. Either I lived or I wouldn't live. Either I was able to get up in the morning or I couldn't. I have been able to get up in the morning. Either I ate or I couldn't. I didn't worry about shades of gray.
It was yes or no-and I tried to reduse stress that way. I didn't worry about the ifs- either I woke up or I didn't--Obviously I am still waking up.
God bless and help you, as he's helped me. You can talk to me any time you want.0March 2017 -

Hi Fashion1102, thanks for following me. Love your teddy bear! If I can be of any help just ask. Aug. will be 4 yrs since diagnosis for me and I still tend to be absent minded. I did take a lot of notes and usually have to refer to them when I want to contribute to a post. You will get more posts directed towards your own profile if you add to your "journey" as you go. Let us know what is going on and this is a great place for everything from advice to just venting. It has been a life saver for me at times.0February 2017
