I have felt my diet since chemo, needs to be changed and that is so hard to figure out. I would love recommendations for someone to see.

If you know of one, I would appreciate an expert in my area of Vancouver, WA for a diet that would help my neuropathy. I have tried several supplements to no avail. (I was diagnosed with Stage IV metastatic ovarian cancer September 2011.) Thank you, Betsy

Thank you for your input about doctors writing in charts. My Onc suggested I talk with her since she is such a wonderful surgeon. I have till March to decide if I will keep her or not. Nothing is worse than not having a good relationship with your doc. Am so very grateful that I have a wonderful relationship with my pcp and plastic surgeon. I have to change onc because mine retired...another relationship to build.

    Dr.Shani,
Thank you for responding to my post about things going so fast. I talked with ALL of my docs about it and they all said, "That's the way it is. Most people just want it done". I have lost respect for all of them for not taking my concern seriously. I even made my oncologist talk with me about "what would have my life looked like if I didn't treat, not even surgery". He didn't want to talk about it (it was AFTER I was done with tx). What a huge disservice to me. Too many friends heard me say, "I'd rather be dead than go through this" and it was because I didn't have my head wrapped around it. BIGGEST psychological mistake I EVER made. I have no family. Maybe it would have been different if I did.

It still isn't okay because now the medical costs are bankrupting me. However, I do NOW believe the decision to treat was the best decision and in my best interest. Took A LOT of therapy hour and EMDR treatments to get there.

It is not appropriate for you to market your services on this site. If you want to offer support and suggestions that would be appreciated, but repeatedly soliciting clients is not.

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

    https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/breast-cancer

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

You may also find our "Beginner's Guide To Cancer" page helpful Click Here for that=> http://bit.ly/10BQKCi

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. Just click this link to invite them to join. http://www.whatnext.com/recruit-a-friend
