If you click on a persons name it will take you to their wall and you can directly post it. My situation is I started out with gallbladder and ended up with stage 4. I had a benign tumor on my ovary so had a hysterectomy. they had found a large 6 cm tumor on my colon, one on my liver and three on my lung. they gave me two years. well it was two years in september and everyone i meet tells me that i dont look like i have cancer. I try to eat well and take supplements and move around as much as I can. I did not have any tumors removed and the only other surgery I had was to put in an ostomy bag and a port. I had had infusions every two weeks, first it was avastin (which shrinks the tumors, oxyliplatin and 5fu fanny pack for two days. I have done this every two weeks until I got a rash reaction to the oxy so they put me on irinotecan along with the other two. I developed a reaction with the irinotecan so now they took me off the avastin since I only have one tumor in my pelvic area that is shrinking and I am on erbitux only with the fanny pack. It makes my skin look like a lizard its so dry. I am not sure why they didnt take out the tumors i had but instead just treated them. I guess because it was just too many and they probably figured they would all come back but I showed them lol. It pays to get a second opinion and a third if needed. you are fighting for your life and do what you need to do. I am not sure I answered all your questions, but I dont work and just turned 56 in september and am home all the time. so if you need any more info, let me know. this is a great site and there are a lot of people who know so much the funny thing is everyone has different effects. Write me as much as you want, I am usually on every morning with my coffee to see whats new. also Greg the admin of the site is very helpful to direct you to what you need. Welcome to the site, hope to hear great news from you and as always a big hug.

Mine is uterine. I had the lower right lung lobe removed. We can't get the cancer in the omentum to go into remission so I just keep taking chemo to keep it at bay so far it is working but I have been on chemo 3 years. I am still able to enjoy life & get up smiling everday. Good luck to you.

Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now.
