Jaycees to Hold Benefit for Elizabeth Cronin Friday 10-2
Paris, Tenn.- The Paris Henry County Jaycees will sell grilled chicken or steak sandwiches, chips and drink for $8 this Friday May 9th as a fundraiser for 10 year old Elizabeth Cronin. She is the daughter of Shaun and Jennifer Cronin and she was diagnosed with mixed germ cell tumor that has damaged one of her ovaries. Elizabeth is currently in her 2nd of four rounds of treatments at Vanderbilt.
The fundraiser, which will be held at the Jaycee Building, at 880 Industrial Road will be from 10am to 2pm Friday. Deliveries will be made available on orders of five or more. Orders for deliveries can be faxed to 644-1143. Drink choices are pepsi, diet pepsi, and bottled water. Be sure and include delivery or pick up time, address, and a contact number. You should definitely take the tumor out if surgically possible. My husband took Vectibex and the rash was so bad that he had to stop taking the drug. It is a very tough drug.

Christiana, I don't know if this is how to contact you directly. If this is not right I'm sorry. So can you tell me a little more about your situation. Was your initial diagnosis stage IV? Have you had ANY surgery on your liver or lungs?

Christiana thanks for the help. You are awesome! I'm sorry to hear about your issues with therapy. I've had 28 total therapy sessions. The ony issues I have ever had are sleepiness, nausea (but no vomiting) and general annoyance with carrying that dang bag. I hate that as much as anything. I've had folfox, Whatevr was after folfox, iranitican, and avastin. Each one has been relatively effective and no serious side effects at all. I'll gladly be on chemo for the rest of my life if it means I can see my boys grow up. It's a small price to pay. I worked through my first year but when it returned I took retirement at the ripe old age of 40. Funny enough is I had a great paying job and a pension. So as it worked out I actually got a raise on disability. Crazy or what?

I'm terrified! My husband has yet to be diagnosed for certain but everything is indicating malignant mass. How can I help him get through this if I can't stop crying and worrying.. I'm so scared. We've been married just over a year and he is the love that I wanted forever... now that I have it, I can't imagine my life without him. I want to help in every single way possible, but I can't help feeling selfish when I find myself in tears. Any suggestions?
