If my days are right, aren't you up for your last round tomorrow? You'll be in my thoughts & prayers!!0January 2013

Just wanted to say I really like your comment to Greensmythe regarding stats. I'm sure many of the people here, maybe even the majority, would have given up if they listened to the stats and took them to heart. I know my daughter wouldn't be here if we had.0January 2013

Hi Shelby, I'm starting chemo in 4 weeks. I'm glad you aren't having bad side effects. I hope mine goes so well!0December 2012

Shelby, I'm so glad to see you welcoming the newbies. WE know how welcome that made us feel, so I know they appreciate you. Took DS to the zoo today for his birthday. It's a nice zoo, not as big as Columbus, but takes up more than half the day to see it. I was disappointed that the meercats were not on exhbit today; they're my favorites.0December 2012

I had lymph nodes removed & went through desensitization after a reactin to taxol, both at the James, but am getting chemo at the OSU Gyno Oncology building in Hillard. Everyone @ both places have been fantastic.0November 2012

Congratulations on hitting the half way point. We'll be warming and cooling for awhile, too. We have our two electric heaters going and the sun is doing some warming, too. It's supposed to be down to freezing tonight, so we will have to close up the blinds when the sun goes down.0November 2012

How's your weekend? Hope you are coping. We're having a cold snap and woke up to no furnace this morning. Thankful for an electric heater:)0November 2012

Hi, Shelby, Are you ready for the week? Hope you are feeling better. We arrived at our AZ home yesterday. So glad to be here. Spent yesterday afternoon and most of today moving stuff from RV to house. This morning I felt like I had done too much, so let hubby and DS do most of it today.0October 2012

BuckeyeShelby, I'm happy you like the photo. She's actually from a group of elderly widows we are supporting in east Africa. Unfortunately, she passed on now, but she was my favority. Her name was Pascalia.
Enjoy your day.0October 2012 -
How are you doing today? Hope aftereffects are wearing off. We've been without internet until today. It's sort of like being blind (lol).0October 2012

Praying that you will soon be feeling better. How long do you have between chemo rounds?0October 2012

Hi Buckeye Shelby: Didn't know you just started chemo, too. I go Tuesday for my third treatment.
If hair loss worries you, why not get a good looking wig, then buy a few cheapies for fun & laughs? I got a Katy Perry pink, a couple of Jon Bon Jovi circa 1980's and a green tinsel wig (for Xmas and St. Patty's Day). I think being able to laugh about the whole XXXX ridiculous cancer thing relaxes your friends and keeps them near you, rather than scares them away. Besides, soon you'll be laughing, too. Good luck & keep me posted on your progress!0September 2012 -
Hi Buckeye!
Thanks for your appreciation of my new 'do. But my husband drew the line at my black eyeliner for some reason! (He is an engineer (spelled s-q-u-a-r-e), afterall, LOL.0September 2012 -
I also used the Biotene on the advice of my neighbor. I wasn't fond of the taste, but I had NO mouth sores during my R-CHOP treatment. I also rinsed with baking soda, salt and water just to be on the safe side. Chemo was not so bad for me, I just had to stay on top of the side effects and cutting them off at the pass when I figured out what they were. Stay in touch with your doc at the onset of anything unpleasant and follow his advice. God bless you!0September 2012
