Thank you for the messge. My surgeon at Regions Hospital in Saint Paul has done hundreds of laparscopic surgeries. I need to use the pain medication dispenser before the aching gets too intense. In 2005, I had two kidney stone surgeries, a double hernia surgery and surgery for a broken ankle- all in a six month period! As a reward, the next year I went to Mexico City for two wonderful weeks. In 2005 my social life was limited. Mike aka Rain

Zubsha, you sure are a busy gal on this site. With such a pretty face and warm smile how can you not help people just by saying hi. You have encouraged me and put me back on track for my goal of seeing 49 states out the window of my RV. 3 more bottles of xeloda and I am headed to San Diego from Orlando , taking 2 months to do it.Then north to Nome. Just Bennie my Manx and myself .

So happy the side effects were so managable for you. I too went through the two 6 month bouts of chemo and worked part time. As a hairdresser it was tough, but good to be out and around people. What I struggle with is finding info for living with the side effects of a J pouch. Living in the world while using the restroom 8-12 times a day with no control overe when and where creates challenges far different than chemo ever did!!!
