I am going to have to move in September and am looking at New Bern. I'm 53 and single. How is the rental situation for a 1 BR, first floor, with a dog? Cost? Are there many private rentals, not complexes? How do you find their listings? Is the area pet friendly? Thanks.0June 2014

Hi trouble241---I started 1st round of chemo on Aug27, got Neupogen on 28th. I have had belly pain since 27th though it is a bit better today. Bad bone pain from Neulasta but that only lasted 2 days. Does your belly feel better in the morning? Mine does. As soon as I put anything in it, even just water, it hurts more. Nothing seems to help except pain med.0September 2013

Good luck with the Chemo Today! If you have a port make sure you wear a shirt that can access the port easily. If you don't have a port , make sure you wear a short sleeve shirt so they can access your veins. Bring a sweatshirt or wear layers if you get cold. My facility had blankets, and a TV . But bring something to read, knitting, etc. You may want to bring snacks or something to drink. Some facilities provide that and others don't. hope it all goes well.0August 2013

Hi I was diagnosed one year ago, had a port put in, chemo, surgery and radiation. Once you get things going it will be easier. At my sessions I just dressed very causally. I would make a habit of visiting people. I also walked a lot taking my pole with me. My days were Tuesday's and would be OK until Friday, just being a little icky feeling and diarrhea, as the time went by those days started on Thursday and go into the next week. I didn't have to take the Neulasta. Do ask for help if you need to though.0August 2013
