Hi monamo, just quick note to tell you I am thinking of you.

I was diagnosed last April at the age of 39, Stage IIa, ER/PR positive.

I see that your status states that you haven't started treatment yet, and are probably considering your options from your last question that I answered.

The first month after diagnosis is such a whirlwind, please try to get rest when you can. Pray for calmness and wisdom while you are assembling your medical team.

Your photo suggests that you are very active - this year will be an excercise in patience as you are forced to slow down and maybe even stop while your body is healing. Hang in there!! I had a double mas and chemo last year, and patience was not a strong suit before that. It was so hard to physically not be able to go and do! One year from now (and maybe sooner) you will be back to full steam ahead!

Thinking of you- please let me know if you have any questions that I might be able to answer.

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

    https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/breast-cancer

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. Just click this link to invite them to join. http://www.whatnext.com/recruit-a-friend

Hello...you will find wonderful people, information and support here...the first few weeks are so hard until you get your team, and plan, in place...I would suggest you try to bring someone to each appointment as there is so much discussed and an extra set of ears is always a good thing...I also found a notebook binder to be very helpful...I could divide it into sections for surgery, radiation, oncology, etc. I also kept every business card and phone number
in it as well as my work Leave of Absence paperwork.
Please let us know how we can help...the more info you can give us about your journey so far, the better we can help you when we answer your questions...sending you my best wishes and a sincere welcome...YOU ARE NOT ALONE! we are all here for you.
