Sue- I had a very freak diagnosis. I went in for a routine colonoscopy-I get them every 3 years as my mom had colon cancer and they seem to find polyps everytime I go in. Well in Oct i had one and my Dr came out with eyes big as saucers stating I had a very aggressive large tumor and needed to see a surgeon ASAP-well, after multiple tests, scans, etc- it was determined that I did not have colon cancer, it was a lymphoma that happened to reside in my ascending colon. I had no symptoms at all-blood work was all normal-no lymphoma in my bone marrow. So treatment would be about 4 chemo's. I actually will find out what stage I am at next week, but the assumption is that this is very early, probably a stage 2. If it is more than that, the treatment is the same-they may just use a stronger dose of chemo.

I mostly use Tylenol Arthritis formula, but I have Tylenol 3 with codeine to use, too. I try not to use the
Tylenol 3 because it leaves me feeling "drugged". I find that the back pain "fades" several days after treatment, then returns when I get the next treatment. My nausea does this, too. I hope that your doctor can prescribe a helpful medicine for your husband.
