Waiting is really hard...my thoughts are with you.

Hi Henderson - At the beginning, it seems that there is nothing but waiting. On top of this you have worries about your husband.
First, you do have a leader for your team who will coordinate tests, procedures for you. That is a plus. It can relieve you of further stresses.
For your husband - there are stroke centers throughout the US, is he connected with one? There are day care places at Senior Centers as well as web sites like the 'Neighbors' (your city's name+neighbors).
You have the thoughts and well wishes of all here on your journey.
