I as well am battling stage IV colon cancer. I was wondering what your surgery entailed? Did you have to have a colostomy? Were they able to remove all the tumors? I am on my second time around with chemo...I have had some tumors shrink but new ones on and outside my liver so now I'm on a new stronger chemo that makes me pretty sick so I'm hoping that means its working better. if there's any questions I could answer for you feel free to ask.

Healed, welcome to the site. You'll find a lot of helpful folks & information here. Having been through a year's treatment for rectal cancer, I can sympathize, and I can tell you that your very strong faith WILL help you through this. I was on multiple prayer chains, and after getting over the initial shock, felt SO uplifted through the prayers of others. Y our very positive attitude will help you through the chemo as well (which is not necessarily as bad as you may have heard.) Good luck with your treatments, and don't hesitate to ask any questions.

Healed, Welcome to WhatNext. I see from your posts that you are like me and have stage IV colon cancer. I also see that you have very proactive Doctors that didn't hesitate to get it out ASAP. MD Anderson is one of the best in the world. I also see that you have strong faith that God has a plan for you and that it is not your time yet. Apparently God has a plan for me too as he has seen to it that my 8 and 1/2 year fight has been sucessful so far despite astronomical odds against me.

Here at WhatNext there are a lot of positive people that are more than willing to help you out in any way they can. All you have to do is let us know what you need. Good Luckand let us know how things progress.
