Thank you for the reply you gave me. My hubby has stage 3 melanoma. the first tumor was located on his right sole (right foot). It started to bother him and when we finally saw an oncologist, the cancer has already spread to his lymph nodes. The docs in Romania decided not to give him interpheron, but DTIC (dacarbazine) 6 rounds every 3 weeks. First round was not DTIC but Taxol and Carbo (the next combo, after DTIC, because DTIC was not available in their farmacy!!), we have 1 more round and then all we have to do is wait. The meds I mentioned in my question are given to stage 4 patients because of the side effects or something (they are considered risky or at least that's what the doc explained to us) but I didn't know about that at the time I asked the q. Have a nice day, I hope we stay in touch. Greetings from Romania
