Thanks BB! I want you to know that I recently met someone who beat cancer twice. The 2nd time was when the sarcoma from her colon spread into her liver. Sloan did a procedure where they shut down blood supply to that section of the liver. She told me about the China study and has been on a plant based diet for 3 years. She's doing great ! Feels good, tons of energy and is confident she is doing the right thing to prevent a recurrence. I'm seeing a holistic dr next week for a consultation. I'm not a proponent of "poison" either. I recently read - if the chemicals can make a well man sick, how can it be expected to make a sick man well. Food for thought (plant based of course ! :) All the best - always !

Hi there neighbor to the south!

I really admire how you have taken on your diagnosis with education. I also try to read and educate myself about my own situation. I have changed my diet and have a positive attitude so I am hoping in that way I can help with my cancer being a tiny memory some day. I also am doing conventional medicine, ie: surgery, chemo, radiation, etc.... I chose this path because in the back of my mind I want all the fire power I can muster.

I see you have been advocating the websites about Chris, the young man diagnosed with colon cancer at such a young age. His is a very heartwarming and educational story. But, (and you probably thought there would be a but in there) I do believe there are 2 sides to everyones story so I am hoping you will check out the website I am including here. I don't adhere to any 1 treatment plan and of course I know everyone is different. You may have seen it already I don't know and I certainly don't want to step on any toes.

Thanks for listening to me and I hope this finds you in high spirits!

Hi Barry, I wish you the best of luck and health. I hope your approach brings success. I was on a wait and watch for a few years until I had multiple occurances within a few months. After taking rituxan I was ok for about a year, but now have around 9 other tumors so I'm going on 2 year rituxan maintance and maybe add mild chemo if the pain doesn't subside. I was diagnosed at 58 and am currently 61. I wish I had the will power to go with your approach as the raw diet is useful for many ailmemts. Unfortunately I'm, too much of a foodie. However I would like to hear how you progress and mabe incorportate some of your discipline into my diet and daily living. Stay positive!

Hi there barryboomer, I am in Daytona! I have also enhanced my diet in hoping it helps in the fight. I have been a "real" food eater for several years now, nothing packaged or pre-made. I do cheat once in a while. I don't make my own bread, ketchup, mayo, etc..... but, I rarely eat those items. All this being said I don't feel I can learn enough about the raw food diet to actually stay healthy and fight cancer. I just don't have enough confidence in myself to get educated about the whole spectrum. I have enhanced my diet with alkaline foods and eating NO sugar at all. I am doing chemo and just want to combine the best of both worlds. I am in awe of those who want to fight this on their own but I am just too big of a chicken. Just the research I have had to do about breast cancer has been overwhelming. I hope the best for you and please keep us updated on how you are doing.
