Hi Pressingfwd...had my fourth chemo session this past Friday. Tumor makers are doing down....so that is good news. Next session 3/1. They will be adding another drug (not a chemo) for the bones. Considening all that .... I am doing okay...i looked into Reiki sessions to help with the chemo side effects. It helps with anxiety. If you like, i can pass on the info to help with your anxiety. The place where I go is in Upland so not that far from you. I am also trying to do meditation at home for anxiety (hard to do, but does not hurt to try, right?). Maybe we can meet some day and go for walks. I sure need to walk more since I sit most of the time at work. I am struggling a little with my diet and not much appetitie. Just hope that the muscle leg cramps don't come again as last time. Will be thinking of you the day of your surgery. Do you know your treatment plan already? Hugs.

Hi Pressinfwd, I am in the Kaiser network, so kindda stuck with them. But so far...been happy with them. I did get a second opinion with Breastlink just to make sure that my treatment plan was on track and to get feedback from Mr. Link. No breast cancer history in my family and the BRCA test came back negative. I have a family history of colon/uterine/liver/hodkins including my father that is currently battling colon cancer. I had seen my primarily care physician back mid last year about my armpit getting a little swollen when using the eliptical exercise equiptment and to get a referral for a colonscopy, so he did not hesitate and ordered a mammogram/ultrasound. I did not even get chance to get the colonscopy. The lump was in my right breast in an area that it could not be felt ( atleast I didn't feel it or did not primary care physician)....and so I started my journey. Are you currently working?

Hi Pressinfwd....happy to hear that you are well and that your surgery has been scheduled. I had a lumpectomy as the initial biopsy was inconclusive. Upon removal of the lump and lymphnodes it was confirmed to be stage IA. However, upon signing up for a clinical trial, and doing more test, just before starting chemo, I came to find out that my cancer had metastasis to my liver and bones. My treatment consist of Taxotere/Herceptin/Perjeta. Will be speaking to my Oncologist this Friday about the bone metastasis more in detail..not sure if my treatment will be changing. Wishing you all my best for your surgery and journey. If you don't mind me asking, just wondering where in Ontario you are currently being treated?
