Thanks for the nice comment.
Cancer is brutal and NOBODY really knows what the heck to do and try. Some get bullied into poison and burn and do well but most don't. Some try raw foods, juicing and anti cancer supplements only like me and do well and some don't. AND some do many surgeries and all of the above. I have an unrelated itchy skin condition all over my body called Grover's.....ugh.....only I could get something called that. Little pimples all over and NOTHING the Docs give me really helps. I have had NO symptoms other than the swollen nodes until 3 weeks ago and have become mildly nauseous and very light pain in stomach area. Had a ct scan last week and waiting one more week to find out if it is the devil again. It feels like an ulcer BUT every new pain and or bump or lump is suspected as the cancer spreading.
I won't take chemo or radiation and will call hospice when I feel I must. I continue on my Regimen of Plant Foods mostly raw, now using powdered green drink (Super Food from Garden of Life) with aloe twice a day and lots of supplements. I'm nervous all the time and have good days and bad. Mostly it's a fight with my emotions and mental approach. I'm 68 and this morning my wife and I decided to get the pre arranged cremation plan...ugh....SO Upsetting. I still have lots of hope that my body can right the ship BUT we all die at some time or other from SOMETHING. It's the ultimate birth control that God placed on the planet. If we lived on and on WE'D become the cancer as that is exactly what cancer is. It outsmarts itself as it becomes immortal but than eventually kills the host. Everything is about balance in this world. Cancer cells are our OWN cells that have a mixed up DNA. That's it as it's not some foreign invader from the outside that has come to kill us. The approach mainstream has is misguided BUT it's all they have so that's what they use. In a hundred years they will figure out how to just alter the genes somehow and the cancer cells will revert back to normal and just die off.
I wrote a song before I got cancer called A TIME TO LIVE AND A TIME TO DIE...you can check this and others on barrydbutler channel on youtube.
As for what you wife should do .....I can't tell you that. The chemo can sometimes buy more time and that is good in some cases especially if you are younger. Using natural methods with the chemo and radiation I'm not so sure. Chris seems to think they are not mutually exclusive. One sort of cancels out the other.
It took all my strength and will power to NOT go to an Oncologist and take that treatment. It was just a bridge too far.
The only surgery I had was ONE large node in my groin area. I asked my DOC (Surgeon who is monitoring me....glad I found him) to take it out as I didn't like it there. BUT my cancer had already spread to 5 places 9 months ago (Pet Scan)..........and it is in the lymph system. Been circulating in my system for years before I found it so WHAT good would poisoning my entire system do.
My Family and friends thought I was just killing myself and told me that I'm NOT a doctor and what the hell do I know. Some people got mad at me....lol....lots of resistance. I wrote a song about that experience called DON'T RAIN ON MY PARADE.
I have NO Regrets whatever happens as I believe I'm doing what is best for ME and that's all I'm in control of. When or if the end comes I will NOT say I should have done this or that.....I believe that MANY people can prevent cancer and make it go away with Plant foods. I may have a piece of salmon from time to time and a baked sweet potato but everything else is raw.....
I have another cool song about this called DONUTS DON'T GROW ON TREES.
I'll keep you informed on this latest cat scan and if I'm getting worse or it's just a common variety stomach problem.
Pray and use your common sense to decide as to what to do next. Sometimes there is a time to just let go. As The Great Beatles song says LET IT BE.
