    I agree with CAS1. Knowledge is power. Find out as much as you can about everything. Ask questions, don't be afraid to make waves. I am a strong advocate for doing everything we can that is within our control. Learn as much as you can, get a second opinion (if need be) eat an anti-cancer diet, exercise, reduce the stress in your life, meditate, make sure you get enough sleep...absolutely anything that might give you an edge against this disease. I also agree with sacred dog. Talk to your doctor and ask questions. If you have a doctor that isn't good at that, find someone who is. I wanted a second opinion when I got diagnosed. My doctor said I didn't need one. I picked up my biopsy slides myself (we have that right) and sent them off for a second opinion. My doc was right on the diagnosis, but it put my mind at ease. I also found a psychologist that worked with me through hypnosis. Might not be for everyone, but I did everything I possibly could that was within my control.
