    Greetings,
I was diagnosed at age 68 with stage III. Had RCHOP and managed pretty well. I finished treatment in February, was able to enjoy the taste of wine by May. Took off my headscarf in August. That decision depends on your comfort level with your hair. I felt wobbly for awhile, very vigilant about steps and uneven surfaces. I have been in remission since then. Just got back from a fabulous vacation. Every day, at some point, my husband and I are aware that we are living with this, it's a part of our lives.
My lifelong curly hair turned straight and I am finally getting used to it. Welcome to this site, I'm so sorry you have to go through all this. I hope you have a good support network. Cold today in NC after 70s over the weekend. Breadflower

Jean, I just want to say it does get better. I was diagnosed nine years ago in April, stage4, had two recurrences, now in remission for 43 months and doing fairly well.
