Hi, I just joined & came across your username thinking she must be a Gemini :) & to look further a twin...I am a twin also. I started on this journey actually right after my 45th bday(finding a lump in my arm pit) but got the official news after my mammogram in July. Schedule for my mastectomy Tues, Jan 28th 2014, trying not to be nervous. But its hard not to. After surgery radiation then reconstruction a year after. I was reading your post & felt a lot of what you experienced as well...Its far from easy...Just trying to press on & be strong....God Bless & Take Care...

I also have triple negative stage 2B. I am starting chemo first then double mastectomy with reconstruction, then Radiation. I was diagnosed on 03/11/13. This will be an emotional roller coaster ride. Along with a physical challenge. Please try to stay possitive and I wish you the very best! You are in my prayers. You are not alone.

I'm triple negative also stage 2A & I was 64 when diagnosed. I wish you good luck with all the treatments. I think you are HER2 negative, ER negative & PR negative....that's why they call it triple negative...I didn't know that either until a few months ago.

You've just gone through something terrifying, so it's natural to feel overwhelmed and sad. Your life has changed overnight. I hope you have a good support system as you move ahead and also that you have excellent health care nearby. It has taken me a long time to come to terms with the knowledge that I have triple negative breast cancer. (Where did it come from? We have no history of it in my family.) I am a year out from treatment and I feel good; my plastic suregon did a great job with reconstruction. I never felt an aching sadness about losing my breasts or my hair or anything like that, but I was consumed by my fears--fear of procedures and tests, fear of the unknown, fear of dying. With time, through faith, with the help of excellent doctors, health professionals, family and friends, I am no longer afraid. I came through the process a stronger woman, quite frankly, and will face whatever lies ahead of me. There are professionals and many support groups that can offer you the counsel you need to get through this emotional-roller coaster you are on (our cancer center has two nurse advocates who were fabulous; they called me nearly every week for months). If you need help, it is out there for you. Continue to use this site; bring your questions here. We cancer fighters want to help one another.

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, any questions you may have just post them in the questions tab and everyone will see them there and be able to help you.

    https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/breast-cancer

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. Just click this link to invite them to join. http://www.whatnext.com/recruit-a-friend
