I can still taste some things but the pain in chewing and swallowing is getting worse which is as expected.

Welcome to the site. We're here for your support. Yes, it is scary, but you can get through it. Definitely let your dr know any problems or issues during treatment. I was resistant to the tube, but am glad I did get it.
