Good Morning, Been a rough week Hurricane on Tuesday we are all fine jsut wind and now lots of tree leaves and pine straw and sticks. Skip go the port yesterday and iti s really bothering him we go for immunotherapy collection tomorrow. I am worn out this is soooooo stressful. How are yall doing. I hope this is a good week. I jsut needed to tell you i am soooo exhausted and needed a freind to tell. Gonna be a long long 3 weeks.

I would love to swap emails but cant figure out how to. I am sorry about the funding Imust admit i dont know why it is so hard to get it redone.

I hope you are feeling better I know you had such a bad time last week.I am hoping this weel will be better. WE have hit a snag his blood pressure is high( cant imagine why) and the red cross is asking questions. sooo tryng to get info out of the other drs to send to the new dr. Not sure I can handle this this week. Just stresses me out and first thing on Monday I jsut had to tell a friend so i can get some work done. Please let me know how you are and Thanks for listening. o Nooooo Im so so sorry that is terrible That nurse should be reported I know this has been soooo hard on you. You are a good friend and you helped your friend so much . Your friend had you with her and you helped her to go to sleep . These things are soooo hard and you have given alot . Try to get some rest I would be in bed for a week after that. It so draining. Im glad you let me know hang in there and do something nice for yourself. we start immunotherapy on Spet 7. Hold on tight it mightbe a bumpy ride .

Hi c1a1c1 Hope yall are having a good week. The post is not correct ,as yes we are starting immunotherapy in the next couple of weeks. he will be on Provenge . i got the book at Amazon. We have gotten approval and some money from Provenge and have been approved by our insurance company for the immunotherapy. Not sure why the post is wrong but it is . It seems it would be good for your husband but you have to be in good health to take it. It is something that is approved for Prostate cancer. Of course all cancers are different. I have a call into the dr today as we just got the notification from the insurance company yesterday. You can google Provenge and find a dr that does it near you that is how I found our new doctor. Let me know how things are going.

He will be starting Provenge when they get funding and whatever from the insurance company and organizations. Not sure how long it has been around i think about 5 years or so it is becoming more and more used fro prostate cancer. How are yall today

c1a1c1 I just answered your question . Thak you for responding to my question a few weeks ago. We go for Bone scan on Wed. They are wanting to put him on Xgeva. is taht what your husband is on. Its so hard to now waht to do.

HI I am having such a day i just saw Cam recommened a book . I am goign to see about getting it They say this is the last thing to try for SKip Im so scared

How long has your husband been on lupron?

Hi i just got that book we will see what it has to say . the immunology therapy will be done here in Mobile it is Provenge. it is 145,000 for 3 treatments so the dr office is getting the insurance and then finding the extra so it wont cost us much i hope . there are funds to help if insurance wont cover it but the nurse knows how to find them. we do not know when we will get to start that therapy they said a few weeks then its 3 weeks . After the immunology it would be clinical trials. This is the last approved treatment for his . I too am so tired of trying to live for today and who knows there are advancements all the time SKip is scared and very emotional and I am tired of trying to keep him ok when I am NOT ok but Im trying he really has not had bad side effects aside from hot flashes and neurothopy he has already had chemo it was terrible. The xtaldi does not seem to have much side effects except the emotion and the hormone shots make that worse too He is just overwhelmed and cant sleep so that makes it worse. It is a hard time for us all SKip is in good health and works every day and tries to make things normal but they arent . Im exhausted and my head hurts so bad . I work all day and just want to hide in bed. This has been one of those weeks. Have they suggested immunotherapy for your husband? Yes Skip has never been sick either then wham this hits. Skips has spread to the hip bones where has your husbands spread. I am here and I appreciate you being here for me.

Hi just letting you know we got the bone scan results the cancer has spread to both hips. They are goign to start immunotherapy we are in shock. I hope you are ok today.
