Hi, SantaMarie. I wish I knew more about the effects of the MEK inhibitors to give you more peace of mind. Truth be told, I know more about them in theory than in practice, as I have not yet been put on one. The thickening of the bowel could easily be a side effect rather than cancer, which is likely why the doctor doesn't seem too concerned. I wouldn't jump to conclusions about the MEK not working. I would only be guessing as to what is causing the thickening, but don't give up hope that the MEK is doing what it is supposed to do. I hope this helps. I would really like to keep in contact with you regarding your daughter's progress; I haven't found anyone else who seems to know what MEK inhibitors are, or at least has had some experience. Your daughter's experience (and yours) could really give me a little piece of mind, too. - Thanks, innadoon
