I noticed you posted about people donating for bone marrow transplants, as a comment in another unrelated post. You are welcome to post a suggestion that everyone register to be a donor, you can do this on the questions page.

I am the caregiver, my husband has AML- just finishing round 4 and they say he is in remission and will not have a BMT- I hope this is true. When completely finished with this round ( in the go back every other day to check blood work stage now ) I think he will have a bone marrow biopsy to be sure.

Question- so many AML patients say: initial surgery then receiving treatments, what was the initial surgery?
