It has been tough for you........but the 31st is not very far away.!!!! So thrilled you made it home in time for Christmas. Your daughter's gift was so thoughtful and appropriate. She must be a true dear. Love that you posted a picture.
Funny but I have NO idea how many I had. I don't remember too much of anything except the milkshakes I would drink on the way home after radiation. Still carrying those around with me on my waist and thighs LOL.........Lung Rehab is so necessary if you can manage it. It was 9 months after I finished chemo that I started. Within one day there was improvement! Yesterday, I walked 1 1/3 miles at a pretty good clip. something I had not thought I would be doing again...........We do get better. Take those baby steps and keep me posted.....there will be good days/hours and not so good; so keep focused on all the little things you can do...I am here to offer support! Please do not hesitate to contact me! I am no expert , but we have traveled similar roads.
Happy New Year and God Bless!

Oh, it sounds kind of tough. Hang in there. You can beat this!!! The treatment has to be harsh in order to shmush those cells! I was in the hospital a few times, too. I did not like it, I could not get any rest!!!
Sorry you were not able to find those items, but, really I would wear a tee shirt or tank top under your clothing and not worry about it. Though we are so used to wearing foundations it is weird not to. If you are anything like me, I really did not see any people that were not in the medical field during those months.......
I have started Lung or Pulmonary Rehab in the last couple of weeks and I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful it is. They have taught me to breathe properly again and my energy levels have increased tremendously. There is hope and light at the end of that tunnel. Believe!!
I think of you often and keep you in my prayers............ try and find simple ways to embrace the holiday. Fondly, S

Been thinking of you..............is all going well? Were you able to find something comfy to wear?

I found one cami type underwire bra at Dollar General.... so there was no binding on the incision!!! I bought the extra large so I would be as comfy as possible. I often worn just the one piece cami with out underwire from Kohl's ,( I think.... )they held every thing pretty STILL , yet not necessarily an attractive line.....but I did not care . Didn't want to gross anyone out with things flopping around, but the main priority is being comfortable!

Oh. I am so glad you enjoyed the tea. Hope it helps! We had a lovely Thanksgiving, with a lot to be thankful for. I got an all clear on my ct scan and MRI, I won't be seeing Dr. Wallace till March, now. Will be working with lung rehab to gain some of my capacity back and am looking forward to that.
Hang tough ,Carolyn. If you need to chat or anything: I would be most happy to hear from you!! In the meantime....lots of prayers heading your way! Suzette :0)

Wow, was hoping you would not have such long sessions! I referred to myself as the "chemo-greeter"! Everyone came and left, and I was still there! I told the nurses I want what they are having... In and out in 15 minutes. Oh, well..... I learned to crochet chemo caps and still continue to do so! Bet you completed a lot of Sudoko puzzles!!
You sound really chipper after such a hard day. Keep your spirits up and your sugars down!
So glad Ingalls is able to offer you so much support, allows you to concentrate on taking care of yourself! Good Night!

Wishing you good luck ! Had my lobetomy 10/11 followed by chemo and radiation when small cell was found in one of the lymph nodes.
The Cancer Resource Center on Ridge Road would maybe a help to you? I started at U of C then coordinated here at Munster with Monroe and Associated.
