    Dear S...thank you for the nice comments. I have not been on here a lot lately due to the holidays. I wish you and your husband all the best. It is a very hard but definitely doable!     From our experience (81 yo father with SCLC), it was the Social Workers who pulled things together for us. First, the Oncologist and oncology SW arranged in-home palliative care (couple times a week); when my dad needed more help, it was a couple of SW at the hospital who arranged to get him into a palliative care/hospice facility. I'd check with your primary care doctors and ask if they can refer you to the appropriate SW and other resources.
