Redd about 6 years ago- you read my journey- and you said that you didn't understand why the literature and doctors said that chemo didn't work. i had that Basil Cell Cancer for about 28 years, and it warped into a rare type of Gorlin Syndrome. Gorlin is genetic, and has some mouth, nose, and face deformation, along with pits in the palm of the hand or the bottom of the feet.

Have you seen a Chinese checker board, with all of the angles that the marbles can jump---or nets? Because I couldn't find a doctor that remove the unusual BCC, it started spreading. I had hundreds of tumors on my upper lip, above my upper lip, inside my nose. They grow in each pore. Chemicals, surgery, and heat activate this type of cancer after it spreads. I welded, was a baker, etc. I'm Irish and no doctor would remove the zit that didn't seem to grow, didn't hurt, etc. I am cancer free now, and they caught it just before the tumors started eating through my bones and drilling through my brain.

I just saw this about a chemo cream for BCC in untreatable places. The problem that I have is the type of BCC- It's not Gorlins' Syndrome with some facial bone deformity. It's a super-aggressive type. When I first saw my oncologists, I told them that I'm not having a biopsy, because it activates the BCCs. When I saw them in June-they told me they've been contacting oncologists all over- even Dublin, and the consensus that just to try to keep me comfortable and hope for a long dormancy.

What type of skin cancer do you have? I was diagnosed with atypical BCC. They wanted to cut out my nose, the bone, flesh, and skin on the right side-my eye too. But they wouldn't answer questions. I took a grandson biker in for the 2nd visit with the head oncologist. He scared the answers out of the oncologist. I got a new one.
The surgeon that did the biopsies wasn't with the cancer clinic-officially. I was curling my toes when I was getting the lidocaine shots in the nose. Tears ran from my right eye during the second biopsy, where my face was readjusted. She did a beautiful job, but she wouldn't give me any painkiller. I used sherbet and self-hypnotism. Even the inside of my mouth swelled up. Because I didn't get take home pain killer, I didn't want surgery again-not for nothing. I had radiation and for me it worked.
I'm having trouble getting primary care. I had strep for 3 months, they kept saying it was side-effects of radiation and cancer. I finally found an 80 year-old Urgent Care doctor that ran a strep test-acute strep-very hot. He did the same thing with my thyroid, wouldn't change the dosage, didn't want to run any tests until next month. Now, I'm going into cardiology as I'm showing symptoms of heart damage from either or both strep and thyroid.
I'm seeing him this Friday, I'm taking my biker grandson in. I just plain need to ask my primary care doctor if he wants to continue taking care of my thyroid or will he get me in with a doctor that will.

I suggest that you see if you can find a biker-a mean looking one that's willing to earn extra money and meet you at the clinic and go in with you. Tell them he's your cousin or something. It's amazing how things changed when they saw my grandson. Good luck.
