It's good to hear you are doing so well! It gives me hope that I can do the same. Reading your story it sounds like we have a very similar treatment plans. I'm currently recovering from back surgery to remove some of the larger tumors. They had to also remove 75% of one of my vertebrae and fuse me in 6 places. July 8th I start my transplant, they were able to harvest 12 million cells in one day so hopefully that's a positive sign of how well I will do with the actual transplant. It's been a very long 8 months to get to this point and I'm starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel. Reading your story and seeing how well you are doing with your SCT is giving me a boost. Thank you for sharing.0June 2015

Motacat keep us updated re your SCT:)) did they use a central line to harvest stem cells? That was awkward for me!! Lol but it was a lot easier than I expected:)) My SCT was very easy ( for me). I had great nurses but my main nurse was a Godsend!! Take advantage of their knowledge and experiences:)) Eat a lot of ice!!! Can't stress that enough:)) we are here for you just reach out - we can cheer, support, pray, and listen if you need any of us!!! I will be keeping good thoughts for you!! You have a lovely smile - try to keep that smile it will help you so so much:)) I think attitude going in and during is 80% of the battle!! Surround yourself w positive people and happy things!! You're going to be amazed at how well you will feel in a few short months:)) we've prob experienced everything you are feeling or will feel in the next few months so don't hesitate to lean on us!! And yes there will be days you need to vent!! I promise we will be here for that, too:)) take advantage of us and save your loved ones the worry. Because 9 out of 10 times if you do get upset you won't feel like that the next day but if you vent to them they will continue to think you're scared or upset even when the mood has passed...but we know that so we can listen , give advice if you want, but mostly just be your support team!! Sorry I tend to rattle on but just wanted you to know I'm here and available:) best wishes and hugs:)) lynne0May 2015

Hello and welcome, we are happy to have you with us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx. Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall. Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.
