I am now in near-complete remission after lots of ups and downs over 4 and a half years. The IGA test results from January dropped from 2194 to 1740 to 770 to 277 to 72 in June. I have done lots of energy work and been doing at least one meal of fresh fruits and veggies in a Nutri-Bullet during that time. Also seeing a nutritionist to take the best care of myself. Next tests are due Aug 21.

My husband is the person with Multiple Myeloma, but it sure is a family disease. I see you holding a baby. Grandbaby? I am 54 and my husband is 76. Jim was diagnosed in February with stage 3 cancer. Chemo is a lot easier than we thought it was going to be. Jim started out with a good healthy body though having been a runner for 50 years. He has no bone involvement.

Happy to meet you. At 64, I am slightly older than you. It has now been more than five years since my diagnosis. I strongly suggest you stay positive and stay away from reading about our temporary visitor on the internet. We are each unique and have our own path. May I also suggest www.caringbridge.org for a free way to keep friends and family notified. You can read my story there at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/paulsimoneau
I am happy to share and answer any questions. Love and Light, Paul

Welcome to the group! I share a similar experience since my T9 collapsed in June 2012. I had a much more intense radiation, only lasting a week but I think you are smarter to go the longer/slower route. For chemo I had Velcade, Revlamid and Dexamethasone and in Jan 2013 I had a stem cell/bone marrow transplant. My one year anniversary is coming up. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, I encourage you to go to the questions page now by clicking on the questions tab at the top of the page and post what is the most pressing issue you have right now. This will introduce you to the community and get you started on the help you need right now.

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also.
