How is everything going?

Thank you for the like. I will keep in touch. Tragedy struck you at such a young age! I am so sorry. I survived a commercial airplane crash. People never knew how to react. I was 19 when the plane was bombed. I've been living on borrowed time since 1969. What I hate most are the people who treat me like a celebrity. I'm classified as a terror survivor. I don't feel like a terror survivor. A suicide bomber was in our airplane. We were about to take off from Cairo to Paris then on to London. As we started the takeoff the bomb which was supposed to detonate in the air, went off. One minute I was seated in a commercial aircraft. The next I was in a Cairo hospital. I thank God I knew no terror and I thank God I am alive. People...jerks...made such stories of my incident and survival. I, too, began to shut up. But I had to discuss this somewhere. I found groups of survivors of terror and learned so much from the members. You and I are both safe talking about cancer here.

Hi Elvia, I was diagnosed with either ALL or monocytic leukemia at AGE 7 in 1963. It spread to Central Nervous system 7 years later. Treated with chemo and CNS radiation. I am now 58 years, old with no recurrence. Good Luck and Bless you heart.

Elvia, when I was in 5th grade I looked up leukemia in the Encyclopedia Britannica. According to it, I was supposed to be dead. Fooled them. I am a 51 year survivor. High school and junior high were rough. Recommend counseling strongly. It gets better.
