Hi Cindy, just checking in to see how you are managing with your cancer as you haven't posted in awhile. I have a friend who was recently diagnosed with Uterine papillary serous carcinoma and we are trying to get some idea of what the future looks like... Thanks for any info/guidance you can give!0August 2017

Thanks Cindy. That was what I was looking for. The price of the bracelet leads me to think it might not be that well made but you never know. My only concern about the phone would be if no one located it or started procedures first. The bracelet is easily seen. Thanks again.0June 2013

My dear HS school friend, after battling Colon Cancer for 9 years, lost het battle. She was from Mesa, AZ. I wish she was here for support with me like I was to her. Called her every day, if possible, and wrote tons of letters to her in 4 years.0January 2013

Hi Cindy,
This is probably a better place to discuss genealogy than in one of the main threads.
My wife has New England and Pennsylvania Dutch ancestry. One of her ancestors was Governor Bradford on the Mayflower. She does have Revolutionary War ancestors and was recently accepted into thee DAR.
I can claim earlier ancestors in North America--a French couple who had a baby in Quebec in 1619, the year before the Mayflower. Various ancestors were among the founders and early residents of Montreal, Detroit, and St. Paul, MN. One of the things about French-Canadians is that all of us are related due to demographics. And, there are a lot of people, like me, who have a French-Canadian ancestor in their background.
Aside from the French-Canadians, my Germans settled in Stearns County, MN. The most famous person from Stearns County is Garrison Keillor. National Geographic says that Lake Wobegon is a small town in Stearns County. As my mother put it, "We've even got Krebsbachs in the family."
Mostly, though, I'm Irish with a bit of Highlander tossed in--and maybe an Englishman or two, but we don't admit that very often. :-)0January 2013 -

I think it means you had it ALL! My Gosh! Were you checked for Lynch syndrom? You are truly blessed to be free for two years(and counting!) I go back in Nov. also for my 2 1/2 year check-up and from what I was told this checkup and the next are the where most of the cancers return. Of course, I am stressing already and every little twinge has me thinking it has returned! I hate to admit it, but I am a devoted coward! I didn't have a port(?) and I am a hard stick so every treatment was a nightmare. I read your story and like you I got really aggitated on the fifth treatment. Don't know if it was emotional or combined drug effects.
I was a 1a grade C undifferentiated (or poorly differentiated). I haven't had any problems (yet) with insurance, but some of the women with UPSC are having trouble getting the drugs they need. They have a better chance if they have Overian cancer. Hope you continue to do well. Keep me posted. Best, Debra0September 2012
