From my personal experience(having had both chemo and radiation before 2 radical neck dissections), if i had it to do over again; I would put off chemo and radiation unless I really Needed it. It was a nightmare for over a year and it's the gift that keeps on giving. Best of Luck. Light and positive energy your way. If you need me I am here.

It is a very difficult decision whether to have radiation and/or chemo treatments after laryngectomy. I personally had radiation and refused chemo. My surgeon said it would be the best insurance policy to have radiation but felt that chemo was not required. I am now almost 15 years afterwards and am happy with my decisions.
