Welcome to the site. I think that you will find this a friendly place to come when you need to sound off or vent from anger. We are all here to listen and help, if we can, because at some point and time in each of our lives we have been in your situation. Please don't be afraid to ask questions either. No question on this site is silly or dumb. We all have questions we would like other opinions on or answers to. There are so many nice people here that it has helped me get through my fears I had when I was DX'd with DCIS. Good luck in the future.

Unfortunately, she refuses to even try the drinks mentioned. But, not to worry I plan on freezing some in tiny chips and hopefully succeed in fooling her. Today was a bad day for me, moms attitude and refusing to eat and drink is really taking a toll on me already and we have just started. I will do what I can and not let my feelings get the best of me as I need to be strong for both of us. I will keep praying for her and the light to finally turn on in her mind regarding this. Thank you for your suggestions and God Bless you.

    Hi again,
Yes, I think that my tumor was a small one. However, my surgeon left for vacation after surgery on me & I was not able to talk to her She never did a follow-up as well.
This was an unusual experience, & I bet you will be just fine. Just ask plenty of questions & make sure that they are answered to your satisfaction.
    Stay strong!

    Hi B B!
I had a GIST removed over a year ago. The surgery itself went well, but the hospital stay & care I got was a total disaster.
I did not have any chemo aftercare, just the surgery.
Right now I think I have a hernia possibly due to the surgery. Something is amiss in that area! But I got thru the GISTjust fine even with the poor aftercare.
Any questions, feel free to ask!

Hello and welcome, we are glad you found us. Please feel free to join in the conversations. Here is a link to our cancer dx page for your type of cancer. Take a look at it to get you started on some information. You will notice at the bottom of that page 4 of our active users who have had that journey already, you may wish to contact them for their experience and wisdom. Also, any questions you may have just post them in the questions tab and everyone will see them there and be able to help you.

    https://www.whatnext.com/conditions/cancer/stomach-cancer

There are also subtypes listed on this page to narrow down the type of cancer to match your dx.

You may also find our "Beginner's Guide To Cancer" page helpful Click Here for that=> http://bit.ly/10BQKCi

Also, if you can take a few minutes and fill in some details of your journey so far, it will help others as they try to answer questions for you, it also helps others as they search through the data base to find someone like themselves. Confirming your email will allow you to receive updates and notices from the site when someone answers your questions or writes on your wall.

Thanks for being with us and let me know if I can help you find any information on the site. After you have an opportunity to look the site over and see what great things there are here, we encourage you to invite your friends, family or anyone you know that may be helped by the connections on WhatNext to join the site also. Just click this link to invite them to join. http://www.whatnext.com/recruit-a-friend
