So sorry to hear about that diagnosis. I know how numbing it was to hear that news, but just know your not alone, and you have options. I personally am still in remission a little over two years now, and the way I dealt with it is to research, research, research. Hear is what I found out.
I received CAR-T immunotherapy, it reprograms your your bodies own T-Cells to kill your B Cells which your B cells are the one’s that most likely went malignant. Not all facilities offer CAR-T, only two in my state of Missouri offered it. I chose KU in Kansas City. I had to fail two standard of care chemo treatments before I could get CAR-T. I heard you only have to fail only one now. I had a aggressive form of Large B cell Lymphoma which is highly resistant to chemo, so I failed two chemo treatments quickly. I never had a BMT (Bone marrow transplant) as I never went into remission on chemo, so after two failed Chemos, I received CAR-T which so far has eradicated my Lymphoma. I personally would chose CAR-T and not a bone marrow transplant, but that is going to be your choice. You can go to my posts and read more about my journey. There you can get more details on my experience to hopefully help with the decisions you will be making with your husband. I also highly recommend discussing it with your creator, That’s another story for me that I think is in my post. Wishing you the best. Steve
