HI Powermom, I had both invasive ductal and invasive lobular with lymph node involvement. All were silent. My doctors couldn't feel any of them. Only the biopsy found them beginning with a mamogram. The double mastectomy went well with the expanders placed at the same time. I didn't grieve the loss of my breasts as I thought I might. The filling of the expanders has been a painful process for me, but today is suppose to be my last. Chemo starts this thursday. I had a medport put in last week for it. I cut my long hair a few weeks ago to get use to it being real short. Haven't gotten a wig yet, but bought a few scarves and hats to prepare myself. I'm blessed to have a great support system through this, and being a pastor, I spend a lot of time finding God in the midst of it all. When I have that peace of His joy, usually after a good cry, I know I'll be ok. I don't let myself lay around in bed, unless I have to, but try to do things within my means around the house. It helps to keep a smile of accomplishment! If you would like prayer e-mail me at audrey.icm.ad@gmail.com . I'm also on facebook. (Psalm 91).
