Hi Carm and Nellie - Sorry to intrude, but I also have the same concerns as Nellie. I am scheduled to take the Braca test and don't think insurance will cover. My Onc is trying to write up to cover me, but I have concerns. I am triple negative with two tumors identified. I am adopted with no family history, which seems to be a requirement. It seems like most people with triple negative are positive for this gene. Which makes me nervous. Any suggestions on how to get this covered? Thanks all!0October 2012

Onc/genetics person asked me if I wanted to do the BRCA and because I have a daughter and sister and 2 nieces, I wanted to know if I carried the mutation. Then I could also think about having hysterectomy etc. The test was done at cancer center I go to for chemo. Yes, I have visited patientadvocate.org, but it has been awhile.0October 2012

I did go to their website, but from what I read they have payment plans and help for the uninsured. I can't afford to do the payment plans.0October 2012
