    HI Rohn,
My name is Michael Metzger and I have been fighting this insidious disease for the last 10 years. I feel empathy for you at this stage. 10 years ago there was little information that was useful to people like ourselves. Now-a-days there is a whole lot of information available to you via the Internet and published books on the subject.

One thing which I did not do in the beginning was get a second opinion, I can remember that I felt that if I did it would be like cheating on my wife or girl friend. Dumb, but that is the way I felt and therefore it was 5 years before I started to asked others about my condition. As difficult as it may be, I encourage you to check out as many options as you can find and then use your logic and comfort level to make the right decisions for yourself.

You can read my Journey which contains as much information as I could remember. I did this in the hopes that it would inform those who are just beginning with the handling of their cancer. One thing I have learned is that the list of variables for each of us is so long that we all respond differently to may of the protocols offered to us. Therefore, what works for one my not work for the next.

I wish you luck and hope in the coming battle. I am always happy to give my opinion or suggest other places to go. I'm no cancer specialist but I have done a lot of reading and collecting info about prostrate cancer.

    Always keep a positive attitude.

    Michael
