I really appreciate you sharing your experiences with the bowel obstructions as they are brutal. The doctors believe somehow my husband has a twisted bowel near the ileostomy, or its scarred tissue causing it.

We're now on Day #7 and a catherer was put on my husband's ileostomy yesterday. He is now producing some stool output in his ostomy bag, but the pain's still severe without pain medicine.
Praying hard and hoping the obstruction will undo itself before the weekend's over. Otherwise, the surgeon is revisiting the need for surgery on Monday.

Thank you! God bless you and your family on your continued journey.

Hello, I read that you've had a partial bowel obstruction. My husband is currently in the hospital (6 days today) with a partial obstruction and on an NG tube. He has an ileostomy bag. We've been told that it takes patience. Curious, how long did it take to resolve yours? Any advice you can offer? Frustrated & scared wife.
