Hi SurvivorLiz, I like that name...good one! t appears from your notes that you have finished treatments. My name is Russ and I am a stage IV, 12yr+, pancreatic cancer survivor. It can be done, just hang on to the hope. Never give up hope! I'm sorry that I didn't get to you sooner when you were still under going treatments. Did you have both chemo and radiation? Do the doctors want to do the Whipple? My tumor was mainly on the tail, but also spread into the body of the pancreas. I had surgery first, and then chemo and radiation at the same time. It was pretty rough going! They took out 40% of my pancreas, my entire spleen, a slice of my left kindney, and 5 lymph nodes. The cancer only spread to the first lymph node, and the others were clear. I, and many others of us are here to answer any questions that you may have.
    Best...Russ
