I am finishing up my radiation treatment this week. I completed chemo 3 months ago. Since I am being treated for bioth endometriasl and breast cancer, I hasve had both double chemo and radiation. I had surgery in January for the endometrial, and March for breast cancer.
I am a teacher and have worked through all of this treatment. Yes, I am tired, but I don't allow myself to give in to it., I amn leading as normal aq life as possible. I look forward to tghe end of radiation-- running to the hospital everyday after work had been difficult. You have to be in control,. If you give in and rest all of the time, that is exctly what your body will expect of you. I am going to be 64. I have no plans for retirement as yet-- I am just going to keep on pushing and keep on living!

I had chemo after my hysterectomy in December 2011 because of lymph node involvement.
The colon ca is stage 2 but the surgeon said this will not need any treatment.
I will have a CT scan this week and see my gyn/onc and colo-rectal surgeon. Hoping that I will
    hear I am in remission.

Yes I had 28 external radiation treatments and 2 internal treatments. Also 6 courses of taxol and paraplatin chemo. In Sept I had a hemi colectomy ...
party due to radiation damage and also to remove a stage 2 colon tumor. The journey, starting in Nov.2011
has significantly changed my life but I push on because I have so much to live for.
