Thank you.
I think I did some thing wrong. My husband was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and I came here looking for some support.
I am a spouse but some times I care for him, did I come to the wrong place?
Thank you.0November 2012 -
Hello ticklingcancer,
So very glad to see you're in remission...and I suspect it will be even better than that. I just wanted to tell you about my brother. He had testicular cancer when he was in his early 30's also. And for the last 25+ years he has been cancer free..Wishing you all the best on your journey.0November 2012 -
Thanks for your response!
I've read your story, and like you I have MUCH to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, having been in remission for almost a year. Funny how I seem to be reverting to my old "take everything for granted" self now that I'm in remission. Guess it is only human nature, but I plan to do some reflecting this Thanksgiving and remember how I felt going through chemotherapy--"when I get through this I will let everyone know how much I LOVE them!!

Well, yeah, homemade! But I don't like crust, so I don't make it--and I use a heaping T of "pumpkin pie spice" as a shortcut as well. But oh, it's the best VEGETABLE! Especially with whipped cream, LOL.0November 2012

Hey TC--Whazzup? Haven't heard anything from you, lately. Tuesday marks my 1/2 way point thru the worst of my chemo...and it's coming none too soon! Have been eating lots of veggies lately (pumpkin pie is a veggie, right?), at least celebrating that I don't have that funny metallic taste in my mouth yet. New port worked wonders last week and am also thankful for that! Hope you're doing well!0November 2012

The drug is Cabozantinib (XL184). The trial is Phase II so no placebo, I get the real drug. It has shown some very good results on tumors of the bone (just what I have). You can Google it and see. Definitely, early stage and quite a way from approval. That's why I'm hoping for the home run.

So...did you end up scaring the poop out of your daughter and her friends this weekend?0October 2012

I feel like the biggest fool here!!! Guess I should have read your great comments before messaging you! ......but I really thought that was your hair. What are your plans for Halloween chemo look?0October 2012

Don't take this the wrong way, but is that your real hair? If so, it is really beautiful. What happened during chemo? Did it all fall out like mine did? Thanks, nancy0October 2012

tc: I say, leave the surfer boy pix on! You look GREAT!
Your dressing up like a woman reminds me of when I was about 8 years old. My grandfather dressed up like a woman to attend a party--which was very confusing for me at that time! (Yeah, I would have grown up "normal" but for that one, horrifying incident!)
$26 raised? Jeeze--better than a poke in the eye with a dull stick!0October 2012 -
Thanks for the kind words and all the support. May your every day be just a bit better than the last and may you achieve all that you wish. Each and everyone of you who do not "know" me, know me better than most as we share the fight against cancer. If you don't have it you don't know what it really is to have it.
Bless you AND

TC: I should have some new pictures posted soon as well. For Tuesday's chemo, I plan to channel Joan Bon Jovi--complete with my platinum mullet and jean jacket. I also got another shipment of wigs yesterday--can't resist costume wigs for the fun of them--and now sport both a red and a green tinsel wig to be prepared for Xmas, Valentine's Day and St. Paddy's! You keep me laughing & I'm loving it--if I can bring a smile to anyone w/cancer, I will be the fool! :-^ )0October 2012

Fight the good fight, or any fight worth fighting for that matter. Glad to see your still in remission. What I'd give for such a statement! I'm fighting this PC with all I have and appreciate your support. It was wonderful to have you call me friend, thanks.

I hope the microwave oven installation went well. They're a lot harder to use when you put them backwards.0October 2012
